The HX485A is a Bi-directional RS232-RS485 converter which is compatible with EIA/TIA standards. It is able to convert RS-232 signals to an RS-485 balanced differential signal in order to extend the communication distance up to 1.2km. It uses an onboard charge pump to gain power from RS-232 signals (RTS, DTR, TXD) without initializing the RS-232 series interface, so does not require external power. An internal transceiver circuit automatically controls the data stream direction. The distributed architecture of the single integrated relational database allows for central monitoring & control.
The user friendly software is easy to configure and use with predefined parameters for fast installation, automatic actions and reflexes as well as a personalized report wizard. Full information on real time alarms and events is provided on the active alarm window, event log, diagnostic screens and live interactive graphical maps.
